Yesterday in a nutshell: i went to my sisters house (walking ofcourse because of the damn snow). Julian and Roy went to judo. On our way home we made some outfit pictures in the park.Back home roy decided to show his Judo moves without smilling ofcourse. He is totally serious!

Tonight we have dahl on the menu, roy's favourite.It's a saus made of black and yellow lentils. You boil the raw lentils then add chicken stock, ajino moto,raw onions and garlic. After about 1 hour you add fried onions and garlic. Then a pinch of salt and black pepper. Serve it with white basmati rice, chicken in massala and green vegetables. ENJOY' YOUR DINNER!

Walk on Water

Since it has been snowing and freezing so much i walk roy to school every single day. Somedays i try to ride my bicycle but i,m afraid to fall , i don't like to take any risks. So while walking back home again we passed this ditch and how much fun is it to walk on a froozen ditch?! Not much fun for me , i stayed safely on the side but Roy went totaly hysterical, this was his first time ever on ice.

It's freezing outside i just can't take it anymore!Lately i'm wearing lots of leggings and big comfy clothes. I got some pointers from my collegues at work what to wear while keeping my personal style. I have lost 12 kg (still 7 to go) and have lots of clothes which are to big or to small. So i decided to give myself a make-over. For now i say bye bye to the skirts and hello leggings and comfy clothes. I think i did a pretty good job being my own stylist and all. On my last day of vacation me and roy had a great day. We started off with a delicious home made lunch of fresh orange juice a la roy with a tuna pizza a la moi. One of the books i,m ''reading'' at the moment is a dutch book Als Nieuw (As new). This book is about how to style your interior with vintage or recycled items. Love the idea of just sewing different scarfs together and using them as a room divider or just decoration.

Today i,m wearing my super comfortable jersey skirt with a vintage flower power blouse to make me feel stronger because i,m a bit ill at the moment. This is very bad timing because tomorrow is my first day as an employee at Jutka & Riska (a clothing store with own design, new collection, vintage, customized items and lots of accessories) After my internship of 4 months they offered me a job as an assistant shopmanager.I will help run the store with my manager and also their brandnew webshop that will be online soon. The search to another job is finally over.Thank god. It was a damn long road but after more then two years i can finally say goodby to Ulla Popken!

Antwerp: Final part

Last month we went to Antwerp for a weekend.Unfortunately i was feeling very sick so the first day i stayed in the hotelroom. The next day we went to the cinema to see Lion king 3d and ofcourse did a little bit of shopping, lots of chocolate and swimming in the hotel. Roy insisted to go to Goosens a very famous bakkery in Antwerp, you had to stand in line to buy something. Till next time Antwerp, we had a marvelous time!

I bought some new tights, Again. I just love them in all colours but they have to be 100 denier. I hate it when you see like your skin through the tight,so they have to be extra thick. Because i wear skirts like 364 days of the year i can't live without thights especially during the winter. I love to mix the colours like aubergine purple with wine red or Orange with chocolate brown.

A little bit of gardening

When we bought the house the garden was a big jungle. I love a green garden with lots of flowers. So Roy is still very so we will enjoy are garden next summer. Today he was taking all the roots out of the ground with a big machine we rented. Thank god the garden is his project and the attic mine.

Like 6 weeks later i got a job as an sales advisor at Ulla Popken (plus size clothing store)and fell in love with visual merchandising. I followed a visual merchandising class and this year i got my visual merchandising diploma. Even do i,m doing a lot as visual merchandiser at ulla popken i would really work as a VM fulltime (i mean without being a sales advisor also).So i,m still looking for a job as a Visual merchandiser in the fashion industry but it is nog an easy task. Now i,m planning to get my detex fashion advisor diploma (Detex is the most important educator in the fashion industry) because with this diploma you will get like 20 to 30 euro extra per month.And working in the retail industry part time every euro counts. The problem is i will study at home so it will take a lot of disipline. I,m planning to do the exam in March. Wish me luck!

Antwerp: Part 1

Last week we went to Antwerp, just me, Big Roy and Little Roy. We went by train and stayed in the Crown Plaza hotel with breakfast buffet in the morning. First day i had a terrible headache so after dinner i went to bed, and Big Roy and Little Roy went to the sauna and swimmingpool. I watched some television and then fell a sleep to wake up the next morning with lots of fun things to do. Stay tuned for part 2 of my weekend in Antwerp.
